This video may be distressing to viewers. In it, a Palestinian detainee, who was freed as part of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, has returned to Gaza only to learn that his young family were killed in the conflict.
Haitham Salem was detained at a checkpoint by Israel Defence Forces last year, but went home on Monday, expecting to be reunited with his wife and three children.
While being held in prison, Haitham made a small bracelet which he says he "made this for my daughter, whose birthday was supposed to be in five days."
He was one of some 1700 detainees released from Israel as a part of the ceasefire agreement.
