Martin Daubney calls the decision for the Daily Star to stop publishing page three girls is ‘a sad day for women’s choice.’
The iconic feature, which helped launch the careers of models like Katie Price and Samantha Fox, is now officially history.
While The Sun scrapped its Page 3 girls in 2015, The Daily Star held on—though it toned things down in 2019 by covering up nipples.
Speaking on GB News, the host and former editor of the men’s lifestyle magazine Loaded, said that its collapse was due to ‘mealy-mouthed feminists,’ adding: ‘The women were in control.’
