Adam Eichholz fled his home in Maui when wildfires began to spread rapidly, expecting to return the next day. But now he’s living in a shelter and the historic town of Lahaina, where he worked, has been wiped out. The heat of the fire was so intense it caused car tyres to burst, the evacuee told Sky News.
