The life and career of Australian chef Bill Granger

Bill Granger, best known as the ‘godfather’ of avocado on toast, has died aged 54. Granger popularised a distinctive Australian-style breakfast during his career, which he took around the world with his own cafes and restaurants. During his three-decade career, Granger wrote 14 cookbooks and made five television series. He was awarded the Australian Medal of Honour, one of his country’s most prestigious awards for his contributions to hospitality
