In the attack on Kibbutz Be’eri near the Gaza Strip on October 7, the militant Islamist group Hamas massacred the residents and took numerous hostages. Many of the dead could not be identified because their bodies were mutilated. DW reporter Max Zander visited the kibbutz and spoke to the survivors.
