'The state let you down': Rishi Sunak apologies to Grenfell families

The Conservative party leader, Rishi Sunak, has apologised to families of the victims of the Grenfell fire after the publication of a damning report examining the causes of the blaze which killed 72 people. The former prime minister delivered a statement in the Commons on Wednesday, saying: ‘I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families and victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The state let you down, and it must never do so again.’
