Nearly 100 children were harmed by Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) surgeon Yaser Jabbar, a report published by the hospital concluded.
The report, which investigated the treatment of 789 children, concluded 94 had suffered harm attributable to Jabbar, including 36 classed as "severe harm".
A further 39 patients came to moderate harm and 19 patients came to mild harm.
The study also found that 642 patients did not come to harm that could be attributable to the surgeon.
Jabbar is understood to live abroad and no longer has a licence to practise medicine in the UK.
