Iran’s deputy foreign secretary, Dr Saeed Khatibzadeh, spoke to ITV News’ International Editor Emma Murphy on March 2nd, warning the United Kingdom will be deemed an aggressor in the war against Iran and risks repeating the mistakes of the Iraq war.
The interview took place shortly after Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced British bases could be used by the Americans to attack Iran. Khatibzadeh said: ‘What the prime minister of UK said yesterday, was actually actively participating in this aggression. It doesn’t matter if are naming it or covering it up by being defensive.’
