Sky News’ political editor Beth Rigby asks the prime minister about Rachel Reeves misleading the public and the cabinet over the state of the finances.
Sir Keir Starmer says "there was no misleading" – and he doesn’t accept that framing. He restates that the OBR reduced government coffers by £16bn with their productivity review.
The PM also didn’t seem to acknowledge the other aspect of Beth’s question – that most of this money was accounted for with higher than expected tax receipts.
Starmer also said it was him that wanted to "more than double the headroom", a move which took up a significant amount of the tax increases levied last week.
