‘There will be deaths’ – Cyclists jumping red lights slammed as lenient police let them off

Cyclists caught jumping red lights in the Square Mile will be offered the chance to watch a “hard-hitting road safety film” instead of receiving an immediate fine.

The City of London Police hopes its “STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, CHANGE” initiative will discourage dangerous cycling through education, with offenders shown a short film highlighting the potentially devastating consequences of running red lights.
