'These are tricky times for the UK economy' says Mel Stride | Budget 2024

Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, Mel Stride says he finds it "very worrying" to be on the other side of the Commons following the announcement of the budget.

He says that Labour went into the election with "clear promises" on taxes, but that Rachel Reeves "came forward with eyewatering increases" with the aim of growing the economy. But he says the "figures simply don’t show that".
