Thousands of people have gathered in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, for the funeral of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic.
The former Serbian general was convicted of crimes against humanity and genocide for his role in the Bosnian war, which included the Srebrenica massacre, when more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed in 1995.
European leaders have condemned the glorification of his death, saying it contradicts Europe’s most fundamental values.
