Thousands flee as Israel’s bombardments intensify on Gaza City

Israel has ramped up its efforts to empty out Gaza City, stepping up airstrikes on high-rise buildings and cutting internet and phone services.

Residents are streaming out, while tanks and troops push deeper into the devastated city.

Israel opened a temporary route south for two days, as Gaza’s health ministry said the number of people killed there has now passed 65,000.
