Senior Palestinian officials said 3,000 people have fled the Jenin refugee camp after the Israeli army launched a major operation in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Red Cross said the number is expected to rise amid suggestions from Israel the operation could last for days. On Monday the military launched its most intense operation in the West Bank in nearly two decades, carrying out a series of drone strikes in an ‘anti-terrorism operation’.
