Thousands rally in Venezuela as Maduro threatens to detain defiant leaders of opposition

Thousands of opposition supporters rallied in Caracas after government-controlled electoral authorities declared Nicolás Maduro the winner in Venezuela’s presidential election. They were greeted by opposition candidate candidate Edmundo González and opposition leader Maria Machado, who called for the protection of the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.
