Months of violence in India has lead to the deaths of around 180 people.

Today the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the violence after facing criticism for taking no action.

Brutal acts of killing and destruction have taken place in Manipur, to the north east of the country, after fighting broke out between the Meiti Hindu and Christian Kuki communities.
