A tiger thought to be owned by Germany’s so-called ‘Tiger Queen’ Carmen Zander has been shot dead by police after it attacked its 73-year-old handler.

Carmen Zander has kept a group of tigers in what critics say are cramped conditions at the site near Leipzig.
