Tim Walz talks about Nebraska roots at Omaha rally and pushes back against Trump AI claim

Speaking at a rally in suburban Omaha, Tim Walz, the Minnesota governor and Democratic vice-presidential candidate, reflected on his Nebraska roots. ‘I graduated from a town of 400 named Butte,’ Walz told the crowd. ‘I had 24 classmates. Some of them are here today, folks from that town.’

Walz also pushed back on Donald Trump’s false claims that photos of a recent rally in Detroit for Kamala Harris had been AI-generated. ‘Trump said it was AI,’ Walz said. ‘You know what won’t be AI? Their ballots come November will not be AI.’
