Tom Daley in tears as he announces retirement

There was a round of applause from fans as Team GB arrived in London on board a special gold painted Eurostar train – many of them clutching the 65 medals which British athletes won in Paris, putting them seventh in the table.

Among them – Tom Daley who confirmed he would be retiring, and said it had meant a lot to win a fifth Olympic medal at his final Games.
