Tommy Robinson has lost his appeal against an 18-month contempt of court sentence, with judges ruling the punishment was “meticulously” applied.
He was jailed last year after breaching a court order, by repeating false claims about a Syrian refugee he’d previously libelled.
The Court of Appeal dismissed arguments that segregation in prison was making him ill.
Robinson was previously ordered to pay 100-thousand pounds in damages, after making the original allegations.
It’s his second legal defeat in a month, after a separate challenge over his prison conditions was thrown out.
