Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev, who’s deputy head of Russia’s Military Intelligence, was shot three times and is now on a ventilator undergoing surgery.
He was under sanctions by the EU and the US over his role in the Salisbury Novichok poisoning and Russian interference in the 2016 US elections.
