Chris Philp has called on the justice secretary and the home secretary to apologise for their role in the accidental release of a sex offender.

Hadush Kebatu was incorrectly let out of HMP Chelmford on Friday, leading to a three-day manhunt.

The Ethiopian national was serving a prison sentence for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Epping, Essex.
