Kemi Badenoch has said that the prime minister should carry out an audit of all cabinet ministers after it emerged that Chancellor Rachel Reeves did not obtain the required rental licence for her south London home when she moved out last year.

Sir Keir Starmer said an investigation into the affair is not necessary after the chancellor told the prime minister that she and her family were not aware a licence was needed in their area of the London borough of Southwark.
Failure to get a licence in advance of letting a property can result in prosecution or a fine.
