The Chairman of the Conservative Party Kevin Hollinrake has told Sky News that Robert Jenrick was "pointing out a fact" when describing the demographics of an area in Birmingham.
In a recording from March obtained by The Guardian, Mr Jenrick said that Handsworth "was one of the worst integrated places I’ve ever been to" and that "in the hour and a half I was filming news there I didn’t see another white face".
