It is frightening, Britain’s first black female MP Diane Abbott says, following remarks reportedly made by Tory Donor Frank Hester.
Mr Hester has not denied making the comments and says – although he accepts his so-called "criticism" was rude – it was "not motivated by gender or skin colour."
Opposition parties say the remarks were racist and that the Conservatives should return the £10 million Mr Hester and his company have donated over the last year.
