
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has praised the rail worker who confronted the attacker on the Cambridgeshire train stabbings.
She highlighted the member of rail staff who "ran towards danger, confronting the attacker for a sustained period of time, and stopped his advance through the train".
She added that this person "suffered grievous injuries as a result, and remains in hospital today" and went on to say "he is a hero, and forever will be".
