Trans women banned from cricket games

Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women’s and girls’ cricket matches with immediate effect, the England and Wales Cricket Board has said.

It follows a Supreme Court ruling that only biological women meet the definition of a woman under equality laws, and comes just one day after the English FA banned transgender women from women’s football.
