Forecasters say there’s likely to be widespread travel disruption today with warnings of snow and ice for Scotland and other parts of the UK.
The Met Office said 20-40cms will fall in the Highlands and North East Scotland, with as much as 40cm – well over a foot – over high ground.
Police have urged people to delay any journeys which are not strictly necessary.
