The head of the Metropolitan Police, Mark Rowley, has told Sky News his force has been stretched through recent budget pressures, with the Met now "smaller than it ought to be".
He was speaking to Trevor Phillips, who joined Sir Mark’s proactive firearms team on a dawn raid.
