Trial begins for first person charged over Tupac’s murder in 1996

The trial of Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis for the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur began on Monday.

Arrested in 2023, Davis is 63 years old and a former gang member. He is standing trial in Nevada – a US state with no statute of limitations for murder.

He is accused of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang.
