Mohsen Mahdawi’s arrest comes four days after a US judge ruled that his fellow Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil could be deported from the US for his beliefs. Mahdawi’s name adds to the growing list of students and scholars residing in the US on visas or green cards who have been detained and threatened with deportation
