The United States and Israel have agreed on a peace plan that would see Hamas removed from Gaza and replaced by a technocratic government.
Speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday, US President Donald Trump released details of the plan and challenged Hamas to accept the deal.
"I think we are beyond very close," Trump said at the start of a news conference. "We’re not quite finished. We have to get Hamas."
