Donald Trump boarded his plane as he left the G7 summit early, with his team saying he’s heading back to focus on "what’s happening in the Middle East".
French president Emmanuel Macron had said the US leader was returning to focus work on a ceasefire deal between Iran and Israel – but Donald Trump has since posted on Truth Social saying this is incorrect.
Donald Trump’s post said: "He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a ceasefire. Much bigger than that."
