President Trump has ordered a blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela.
He’s also designated Nicolas Maduro’s government a foreign terrorist organisation, accusing it of engaging in "drug smuggling and human trafficking". Venezuela condemned the actions as ‘warmongering threats’. It’s accused the US of seeking to steal its resources.
