Defence and security analyst Professor Michael Clarke assesses comments made by the US president who’s said Venezuela is "completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America".
"It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before," Donald Trump said.
Clarke says Trump’s words are less extreme than he made them sound, but he is "really ratching up the pressure on President Maduro in Venezuela to step down or leave in some way."
