Mexico’s tariffs with the US will continue at 25% for another 90 days, Trump announced on Thursday. Other countries are scrambling to finalise their trade frameworks with the United States as tariff hikes loom.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump would sign an order to impose new rates starting at midnight US time on Friday.
She added countries that had not received a prior letter from the administration or negotiated a framework would be notified of their likely tariff rates.
