Donald Trump says he’s not putting boots on the ground in Iran – while seeming to leave himself room to change his mind. In a meeting with Japan’s prime minister, he also took another swipe at NATO – while claiming he didn’t need any help in the Middle East.
Oil and gas prices have surged – including in the UK – after strikes on facilities in Iran and Qatar at the world’s largest natural gas field.
It started when Israel attacked Iranian facilities in Iran’s section of the South Pars field. Iran then retaliated at Qatari sites.
