Trump says Iran operations continue in 'full force' ahead of Medal of Honour Ceremony

US President Donald Trump is taking part in a Medal of Honour Ceremony at the White House.

Ahead of the event, the president said he decided to strike Iran because it was best opportunity to "eliminate the intolerable threats posed by this sick and sinister regime".

Donald Trump also said the US is "substantially ahead of our time projections" of four to five weeks – but has the "capability to go far longer than that".
