Trump says Nato countries should shoot Russian aircraft if they enter airspace

The US president said he believed Russian aircraft should be shot down by Nato countries if they entered their airspace, at a bilateral meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the UN on Tuesday. Russian aircraft have repeatedly entered Nato airspace over the last few weeks, with the latest suspected intrusion near Copenhagen airport on Monday. Russia has denied any involvement and accused the Danish prime minister of making ‘unfounded accusations’
