Iran has threatened retaliation after Donald Trump claimed ‘every military target’ had been ‘obliterated’ by US forces on Kharg island, an island crucial to Iran’s oil industry.
It comes – as thousands of extra American troops are being deployed to the Middle East and it appears the conflict is intensifying, with reports of attacks on the UAE port city of Fujairah and the US embassy in Baghdad being hit by a missile. As well as nearly 800 people killed in Lebanon as a result of Israeli airstrikes.
