Trump signs $142 billion US-Saudi arms deal on Middle East tour

Donald Trump is back in a region he loves as much as they seem to love him. Saudi Arabia and then the Gulf.

The main purpose is to use the Saudis and others as a generous ATM, drumming up spectacular amounts of cash for everything from arms to AI. With him are some of America’s richest billionaires, including Elon Musk. And some news: sanctions against Syria will be lifted, and Trump is clearly fed up that the war still rages on in Gaza.
