The Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom says Donald Trump could soon be gunning for the UK.
His warning came after the US president announced trade tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China.
He urged the UK to "stand by your friends".
"We are determined to defend our ground, to defend our rights, to defend our sovereignty, our economy and Canadian jobs," Ralph Goodale said.
He also described Trump’s calls to bring Canada in as its 51st state as "trolling" and "offensive".
