Russia’s Vladimir Putin has held several hours of talks with US envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner in Moscow aimed at ending the country’s war against Ukraine.
The meeting came as the Russian president warned he would not accept Europe’s peace terms.
Europe has been working to change a draft peace plan that was largely seen as sympathetic to Russia’s war aims.
"We are not going to fight with Europe, but if Europe wants to fight with us, we are ready right now," Putin said.
