Piers Morgan has told Sky News that US President Donald Trump told him in a text exchange that he was "very happy" to be visiting the UK.
Speaking to Sky’s Mark Austin, the journalist and broadcaster said Mr Trump seemed to be "on good form", adding that he believes the president’s unprecedented second state visit is "very important" for UK-US relations.
Mr Morgan emphasised how much the trip will mean to Mr Trump personally as he has "a life-long adoration of the Royal Family" – and he speculated that it could also lead to a better trade deal for Britain.
