Donald Trump has slapped new tariffs on over 90 countries, solidifying his love for what he calls the most beautiful word in the dictionary – tariffs.

The announcement comes just days after Canada announced plans to recognise a Palestinian state. Its Prime Minister Mark Carney said he was ‘disappointed’ by Trump’s actions, in a statement posted on X.
Some of the world’s poorest and war-torn countries now face extremely high rates.
