Trump’s travel ban: Citizens of 12 countries barred from entering US

People from around the world waiting for US visas have had their hopes dashed after President Trump announced a sweeping new travel ban.

12 countries are affected by a full travel ban, while seven others are subject to a partial ban.

Afghan women’s rights activists and those escaping war in Sudan and gang violence in Haiti are among those banned from entering the US from Monday.
