A powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Russia’s far east in the early hours of the morning.
It has triggered fears of tsunamis across the Pacific, with warnings and alerts in place across Japan, parts of the US, including Hawaii, California, and Alaska, and the Philippines.
