Turkey strikes targets in Syria and Iraq after attack on Ankara aviation company

Turkey blamed a deadly attack on the headquarters of an aviation defence company near its capital, Ankara, on the Kurdistan Workers’ party (PKK) and carried out a series of airstrikes across northern Syria and northern Iraq on what it said were PKK targets and affiliated groups. Some of the areas targeted are controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which said on Thursday that Turkish airstrikes killed 12 civilians in north-east Syria
