Two men have been found guilty of plotting to carry out an Islamic State-inspired terror attack against Jewish people in which police say they planned to "bring slaughter to the innocent."
Walid Saadaoui, 38, and Amar Hussein, 52, wanted to kill as many Jewish people as they could. Their plan was to target a community gathering before moving on to a British military base for a "last stand" where they sought a gunfight "to the death."
They were caught because a third man – known as ‘Farouk’ – who they thought was planning attacks alongside them, was actually an undercover operative passing information to counter-terrorism officers.
