Iran’s ambassador to the UK has told Sky News that he believes U.S.-Israeli strikes against the country are "illegal" and "a violation of international law".
Speaking to Sky’s Yalda Hakim, Seyed Ali Mousavi claimed that the attacks, which killed Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, were "criminal".
On being asked whether a series of Iranian missile attacks against Gulf countries will continue, he insisted Iran has "friendly and brotherly relations" with its neighbours, but also reiterated Tehran’s right to self-defence.
